Subscribers who have not purchased a data plan can purchase open Web access for 24 hours utilizing ClearSky’s DayPass Unlimited service.
Despite the ever-increasing demand for mobile Web access, the number of wireless subscribers purchasing data plans remains between 20-30 percent, leaving the vast majority of mobile subscribers without Web access. DayPass Unlimited allows subscribers without data plans to access the entire mobile Web on demand for a specific period of time.
To access this feature, the subscriber simply selects the “DayPass” option from the menu. A screen will appear stating the price; once the subscriber confirms the DayPass purchase, he or she will be charged a daily rate set by the carrier, in the range of $0.99 to $2.99. DayPass subscriptions remain active for 24 hours after the purchase is completed.
